Course Unit T

Renewal & Reform

Church history shows that God repeatedly calls his people back to Scripture, to pure worship and to holiness of life. This unit studies the great reforming movements — the Protestant Reformation and its confessional legacy, the Puritan and evangelical awakenings, and the revivals of the modern era — and asks what they teach the church in Africa today. You will also examine what genuine renewal looks like, how it begins in the heart of a leader, and how to pursue it without falling into either novelty or dead traditionalism.
